- Dave
Alexander
"Doing something you love and striving to do it better is a
worthwhile pursuit."
As a singer/songwriter and acoustic
guitarist, Dave Alexander has engaged himself in this
pursuit for the past 20 years and counting.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Dave moved to a
rural town in Pennsylvania where he spent most of his
childhood years growing up, living with his parents and
brother, John.
At the age of fourteen, Dave completed his
first performance; it was a high school talent show, and in
his own summation, he "rocked the house". Following his
performance that evening, Dave knew he would make music for
many years to come. As a young adult, Dave traveled along
the east coast, visiting cities between New York and
Florida. It was this traveling that brought inspiration and
salvation to his music.
Dave’s first album, “The Journey” produced by
multi-platinum, grammy winning producer, Andy Kravitz was
released in 2007 and reflects his unique take on life which
is the influence in his playing and songwriting.
In 2008, Dave started his own record label -
Chaos Order Records and opened a music venue -Alexander's in
Philadelphia, which hosted a variety of genre's featuring
bands and solo acts from around the country.
In summer of 2009 signed a record deal with
Double K Records out of Canada and hit the road again on an
East Coast tour hitting cities from Rochester NY down to
Miami FL to promote the release of his upcoming album
"Skin", and as he says, "The hardest thing in life, is to
deal with your own skin"
Now based in the South Florida and whether
performing by himself or with his band playing all genres of
music he always leaves the audience asking for more. |
